This was a very cool design that helped me push stylied texturing further, it was one of the first character i made with fully handpainted lighting, a bit old school but it was the best way to get that anime style. Eventually, the shoes were the hardest thing to do, took me a hole day. Thanks to that I developped a new workflow for shoes, i now model the individual shoe with symmetry and then break it up with a latice modifier and then add another mirror modifier to have both shoes, with uv offset to account for logos not being properly mirrored. Anyway, i learned to love shoes and shark tails, a great experience!
