A recreation of R2D2, made to be a mix of his look in prelogy and original trilogy, not too dirty, but not squeaquy clean, quite a hard balance to strike since i also wanted some shine out of him, and the star wars gribble style demands attention to detail, I used a lot of substance painter's physical brushes to have leaks arround articulations and some pannels along with the "feet". It's actually the 3rd time i model him, i love returning to this over the years, next time i'd love to make an animations with him since he has an animation skeleton but no proper rig yet, would love to make controls for all the little pannels. That's also why i didn't go the full game art route since i wanted to get the most individually modeled elements as possible to play arround with, i still kept the poycount in check and used triangles when needed.
